Mount Zion (World Mission Society Church of God – WMSCOG) is where the Lamb dwells

Yesterday was the Sabbath day. Almost all churches keep the first day of a week, called Sunday, as service day, but we, World Mission Society Church of God keep the seventh day, which is Biblically named the Sabbath. This day is one of the commands God wants us to celebrate till the end of the world. I think that’s the reason I am moved at each worship service.

While listening to the sermon yesterday, I thought it would be very good to share God’s grace that I received.

The Title is “The Lamb Reigns on the Mount Zion”.

Mount Sinai, as you know, is where God proclaimed His laws, and they are called the law of Moses or the Old Covenant. Later, God said that He, Himself would proclaim the laws of the New Covenant from another place – Mount Zion, and He did as He said. Mount Sinai and Zion are different places. The Old Covenant was from Sinai and the New Covenant was from Zion.

1. God Himself proclaims the Old Covenant on Mount Sinai

Ex 24:12 The LORD said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commands I have written for their instruction.”

 

Ex 31:18 When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.

God Himself came down on Mount Sinai, made the law for Israel and told Moses about the law.

2. God Himself proclaims the New Covenant on Mount Zion (WMSCOG)

Jer 31:31-33 “The time is coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them, ” declares the LORD. “This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD.

 

Not any other one, God Himself will make the New Covenant. Then, where will He establish this law and proclaim it?

Mic 4:1-2 In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

 

“The law will go out from Zion” means God Himself will make the law and teach it in Zion.

This law is not the Old Covenant but the New Covenant because the Old Covenant was already made before. God will reign in Zion by it until the last day.

Isa 52:7-8 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes.  

 

Rev 14:1-4 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads… They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb.

 

What is the New Covenant ?

Isa 25:6-9 On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken. In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

 

Isaiah 24:32 shows this mountain is Zion. God gives eternal life through aged wine on Mount Zion. This wine promised eternal life means the Passover.

 

Lk 22:7-9 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.” “Where do you want us to prepare for it?” they asked.

Lk 22:19-20 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.  

 

Jesus said Passover is the New Covenant which He, Himself established by His blood.

Jn 6:53-54 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.  

 

We can’t eat or drink Jesus’ real flesh or His blood. So He gave us one ceremony we can eat and drink, which is the Passover of New Covenant.

3. God Himself restores the New Covenant on Mount Zion

Today, churches don’t keep the New Covenant God made on Zion because they place the authority of their churches above that of God’s words. 1600 years have passed under such circumstances. After that all truth disappeared one by one since the end of apostolic age. The churches in which the Sabbath or the Passover isn’t kept are not those that God reigns in. God rules only in the churches where His law is kept. Our Church of God has God’s law, Sabbath and the New Covenant Passover. What does that mean? The book of Isaiah 25:9 says the One who brings aged wine of the Passover is surely our God. So we can tell people, no, we must tell people that the Church of God is Zion where God is reigning and where Father Ahnsahnghong who bought the New Covenant Passover and Heavenly Mother who is reigning over Zion by the New Covenant, are surely our God!

Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

 

Those who ignore and reject the law can’t be God’s children. They say, “yes, it’s written like that in the Bible but I can’t believe it.” Actually they don’t believe God who told us those words.

God had prophesied in many words for 3600 years and accomplished just as He said.

I give thanks to God Ahnsahnghong and Jerusalem Heavenly Mother for opening my spiritual eyes and ears and allowing me to say “They are surely our God!”
