World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) loves the environment according to the teachings of Father Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother

The World Mission Society Church of God members are continuing their clean up campaigns. According to the teachings of Father Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother (God the Mother), the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) keeps on spreading the love of second coming Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother, and the awareness of environmental issues. Since God has created this beautiful earth for us to live in, the members of the World Mission Society Church of God are making this world a better place to live in with all their hearts and minds.

Celebrating Christ Ahnsahnghong’s birthday, and preparing for the Passover, the members cleaned up their areas. Because of the members’ devoted volunteer activities, they have received many positive responses from their communities for their efforts.

There were many catastrophes world-wide damaging areas leaving tons of debris, and the World Mission Society Church of God was always there for picking up these huge pieces of debris along with planks, trash, and wreckage. If you see these angels (as how the neighbors call them), they are surely the members of the World Mission Society Church of God. The members of the WMSCOG always work together and with one mind and heart. They move the people to tears because of their genuine world-wide volunteer works, which is why the Church has received many awards from the government officials.

Church volunteers give Central Avenue a second chance

June 24, 2014

“It’s easy to throw a candy wrapper out of the window while driving or drop a cigarette butt on the ground while waiting for the bus.

But cleaning these things up?

That takes a great deal of cooperation and work ethic. That is what The World Mission Society Church of God learned this past Sunday.

The Church of God held the 2,470th environmental cleanup campaign of its 50-year-old organization. It was the SeaTac church’s seventh cleanup and the second it has held in Kent. The first cleanup was similar to Sunday’s in that it took place along Central Avenue from James Street to 259th Street.Volunteers gathered at noon in the parking lot of Mill Creek Middle School, armed with a detailed understanding of Central Avenue’s most neglected areas and ready to take the city by storm.

Fifty-two volunteers, separated into four teams, operated a leapfrog formation up and down Central Avenue, finishing the project promptly at 4 p.m.

The church even provided its own dump truck for immediate disposal of the 38 bags of trash collected, as well as two bags of recyclable plastic. This, the volunteers said, was the best way to provide the most relief, even to city employees who had been overwhelmed trying to dispose of the large number of trash bags collected during the first cleanup.”

More than 200 volunteers cleaned up the Jamaica Bay shoreline on Sunday, pulling out debris that clogs the coast and keeps the memory of Superstorm Sandy fresh, even though it touched down nearly 11 months ago.

“They pulled large pieces of dock out of the marsh,” said Don Riepe of the American Littoral Society, who acts as a guardian of the bay. “We would have had to use a payloader and cut it up.”
