First of all I give all glory, thanks, praise and honor to our Heavenly Father, Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother for Their immense love and sacrifice for allowing me to be in the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) and allowing me to inherit eternal life in the kingdom of the living Gods.

Personally I love to rock climb and there was a time when I was faced with the challenge of climbing up a very steep part of a mountain and it made me reflect back upon my life of faith and how I’m able to stand at the top of the mountain today through the help of my Father, Christ Ahnsahnghong and my Heavenly Mother, New Jerusalem.

When I began life of faith, it was like starting out to climb a mountain which I live near. I know that each and every one of us have our crosses we must carry (and not the idol kind either) and the Bible tells us that we must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of heaven (Acts 14:22). Probably the most important thing we have to remember is that because we are the children of God we share in God’s sufferings that we may also share in Their glory (Rom 8:17).

As I moved up further along the mountain I came to crevice that I had to jump across in order to get to the top. A bit of a stretch, but not something I couldn’t do. Still required me to expend a bit of energy in order to get across it. And with ease I was able to jump across it. It made me think of the times I tried to preach to people in my elementary state of faith and I heard things like, ‘Dude, you’re in a cult because you believe a Korean man, this Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Second Coming Christ!’ ‘You’re crazy for believing in Christ Ahnsahnghong.’ And my personal favorite, ‘God is not Korean.’ (I guess Jesus wasn’t an Israelite either). However, I can’t lie, that little jump set me back enough that I couldn’t make it across the crevice. However, if you love climbing mountains, a setback will only egg you on to give it another go. And I found myself before the crevice again, but this time with more of a conviction to get over it and get over it I did.

Now anybody who’s an avid mountain climber knows that there’s always a part of the mountain that’s very, very steep or at an impossible incline (this one is usually for the extreme climbers). And although it is a bit time consuming (dangerous for the extreme cases) with resilience and a strong resolution, you can overcome. When I think back to all the times my worldly desires overruled my desire to do the gospel, I think a bit more time at the steepest point than I really needed to. In fact, when I think about the persecution I received while trying to preach the gospel in my early days, it was almost easier to bear than the temptation that slowly crept over me like a fog coming out of nowhere to blind my sight so I couldn’t see where I was going in my mature spiritual state. I think I might’ve run out of energy at that point, but just like the instinct to survive kicks in when we need it, a resurgence of spiritual energy at the right time came along to give me that extra push to climb on and wake me up from my blinded state.

And although spiritually, I haven’t made it to the top of the mountain yet. I know the power that allowed me to overcome the low point in my spiritual life came from Father, Christ Ahnsahnghong and my God the Mother. I am truly grateful to Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother for leading me to the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) and for helping me overcome the mountain of trials and temptations so I can be victorious through Their love and sacrifice. I will continue to search for our lost family members to repay Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother; to give them joy and so I can share in Their glory as well!
