Hector and the search for Happiness – True happiness in the World Mission Society Church of God
Realizing Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother through this book
While living in this world, have you thought about your life, questioning whether or not you’re really happy or what happiness is?
If so, you need to read the book, which lets us realize and know what true happiness is.
It’s titled, “Hector and the search for Happiness” Hector who lives in France is the main character in this book. He is a psychiatrist who counsels many people who suffer from thinking that they themselves are not happy.
One day, he realizes that he can’t treat them; he cannot make them happy.
For this reason, he closes his clinic and leaves in search for happiness. The purpose of his travels is not only for his patients but also for himself. He is young and intellectual, and he was even successful as a doctor. However he, too, was not happy. That’s why he traveled to many countries in search of happiness. He writes down what happiness is in his notebook whenever he meets various people as he travels to many countries.
And finally he realizes that true happiness is not far away but close.
It felt like this book was asking me what my true happiness is. In all honesty I had never thought about “happiness” itself but only about the success in my life. However I did realize that such thoughts were in vain, and that this moment that I’m in, is such an important time for happiness. What I mean is, for me, true happiness is to be always joyful and give thanks in all circumstances that we come to face. What about you?
If you ever wonder what true happiness :) is, please read this book. And then you too will realize what true happiness in your life is.
